Review: Kitty Hawk and the Hunt for Hemingway's Ghost

Writer's picture: Josselyn RadilloJosselyn Radillo

Kitty Hawk and the Hunt for Hemingway’s Ghost is second book in ‘Kitty Hawk Flying Detective Agency’ series. Like the first book, this one also part history, part adventure and so much learning of geographical facts and history, all the narration by teenage protagonist Kitty Hawk.

This book can be read standalone but I would suggest start from beginning. You won’t miss much of story but you’ll definitely miss the fun knowing about Kitty’s childhood, her hometown, and of course mystery on Curse of the Yukon Gold. Kitty Hawk keeps making me loving her and she’s brilliant throughout the book. Her curious and adventurous nature got her into another mystery and also kept the narrative exciting because of her nature. I so love kitty. Her voice, how she acts and spirit is remarkable. Her excitement and curiosity in the book was is contagious that I didn’t want to stop. I been loving so much this two books that I highly recommend you to get a grab your copy here .

Things I love about this book:

1. It has a prologue and a zero chapter so we get more backgrounds and info.

2. The titles of every chapter stay true to the content.

3. The cover is so beautiful.

4. The narrative and the description of every place is great to learn more about each place in a fun way.

5. I felt like I was living the adventure and visiting all places through words and lines of the book.

First we read how Kitty prepares for her new adventure and then how she starts her way to her family vacations and starts making some stops. Finally she gets to Ghost of Hemingway and so started hunt and the adventure with the mystery glow of the water. Ian was great creating mystery and suspense through the pages that makes you keep turning them. How she managed everything was brilliant. Also there was a twist at the end of the book that I didn’t see it coming and OH HOW I LOVE THAT!!

Overall is great under the water adventure that’s going to keep you turning the pages until you solve the mystery.
