This book has a somehow a taboo topic but also something that happens to ever girl we always have a crush for an older actor, our teacher or our older brother best friend.
The Beau and the Belle was that book. I couldn’t put it down, couldn’t get enough of Theirs is an I can’t fall for you - to - I wait for you to spy on me rife with equal parts hate and longing. I’m talking chemistry, big long term heart melting love and as you can imagine, non-stop laughs and old flames. Lauren and Beau live together but not mingle, Beau rents an apartment. Day in and day out, from their rooms across from each other, they have their cute moments, they intense moments where I thought OMG here it comes he’s going to kiss her and but then he remembers she’s just in a little girl. They have does moments you can feel they were just meant to be.
1. They have a passive - aggressive- kind of flirting game but they each are determined to remember where they stand.
2. I love that Beau over his lust respected Lauren’s age and value her.
3. Love how he spayed Lauren and was jealous about Preston.
4. When the time was perfect he went for her and wasn’t accepting a no as an answer.
5. Even though Lauren has money she was modest and simple. Love her!!
As we know, however, the line between love and be responsible can be razor thin, once they get older enough the whole situation escalates, they both begin to see a side of each other that makes them know why they were waiting for each other. After all the time they waited and a chemistry they can’t help but give in to. Something that sadness me is that I want more from them, i would have loved to have an epilogue.
